Salman Khan Stepping Into The Shoes Of Ajith In Veeram Remake?

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan seems have set his eyes on yet another South film. The actor is now interested to take a Tamil film to Bollywood. Well, it is none other than Ajith's Veeram, which has become one of the biggest hits of Pongal this year.

Recently, Salman Khan himself has said recently that he has no qualms in starring South remakes at a press meet of his Hindi movie Jai Ho. It appears like he had a reason to say that as he was approached to star in the remake of Ajith Kumar's Veeram.

Reports say that Pritish Nandy has acquired the rights of Veeram and he wants to cast Salman Khan in the lead role. It is said that Jacqueline Fernandez will be stepping into the shoes of Tamanna Bhatia in the Hindi version.

All three Pritish Nandy, Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez had serious talks about the film. They were also spotted at Mehboob studios in Mumbai. Sources say that the Bollywood star and the actress were impressed by the storyline. They had also seen the Tamil film recently.

The buzz says that they want to materialise the project soon and the scripting works will be started shortly. Ajith Kumar's Veeram is the story of four brothers. The Thala had played the role of elder brother, who is protective towards the younger ones. And Salman Khan, according to reports, fits the role perfectly. His brothers like Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan are expected to be in the cast. We have to note that Salman Khan had done a lot of South remakes in the recent years.

His Wanted, Ready, Bodyguard, Jai Ho and his forthcoming Kick are the remakes of successful movies made in South. However, please note that none of them have confirmed about the Veeram remake. The only confirmed information that we have is that they are heading for a South remake. But many believe that the film would be tailor-made Salman Khan and his brothers. We have to wait some more time to hear the news officially.

On the other end, there are reports that SiruthaiSiva himself will helm the project. It may be recalled that the director had earlier claimed that he was offered to remake the film in Bollywood. Ajith Kumar's Veeram is an action flick, which is packed with loads of entertaining elements.

The film was enjoyed by both mass and class audience. While the action part impressed the masses, the storyline was liked by class audience. Ajith Kumar, Tamanna Bhatia, Vidharth, Bala, Munish, Sohail, Santhanam and others are in the cast. The film has made more than Rs 100 crores at the Box Office.
